Reflecting domes of heaven

The piece is a contemplation of extremes.
We are swallowed by the earth and a beautiful plant grows through us.
A scene shatters in space and time into other scenes. A cosmos.
Divine geometries, a sacred architecture.
Stalactites, honeycombs, cathedrals, stars.
Muqarnas (also called honeycombs or stalactites) is a type of ornamented vaulting found in Islamic architecture but also in Armenian Christian churches (notably in many of the domes in the monastery of Geghard). They have been described as symbolizing 'rotating domes of heaven' and can be found in places of worship, funerary monuments, hospitals and fountains.
The piece will be the first study on a new project and is for a mature audience.
Please note that the performance will start at 8.30 pm and will not be preceded or followed by a talk, however people are more than welcome to stay for a few drinks.
