Sarah Pedde As voids, as gaps, as empty places do

As voids, as gaps, as empty places do

During her stay in Yerevan, Sarah Pedde focused on aspects of the city, such as its atmosphere and history. She tried to emphasize on her own subjective impressions rather than creating an academic thesis. Focusing on being a stranger in a strange place that already feels familiar. Sarah opposes the idea of the naturalness of the nation or identity. The city is an imaginary, artificial though real place.
Some of the questions Sarah is carrying within are: What does modern, contemporary subjectivity mean with the city/social relations inside? How can the artificial, poetic city work as an opposition to any ideas of nation or bloodline?
