She is currently serving as the Counselor of Culture at the embassy of Sweden, Moscow. She worked as the director of Stockholm\u2019s Tensta Konsthall (2011-2018), as the artistic director of the 11th Gwangju Biennale, as the director of the graduate program at the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College, USA (2008-2010) and as the director of IASPIS in Stockholm (2005-2007). From 2002 to 2004, she was the director of Kunstverein M\u00fcnchen and in 1998, the co-curator of Europe\u2019s itinerant biennial, Manifesta 2, in Luxembourg. In 2015, she curated \u201cFuture Light\u201d for the 1st Vienna Bienniale, and in 2019, she co-curated the Art Encounters Biennial in Timi\u0219oara, Romania. She has taught widely since the early 1990s, including as a professor of artistic research at the Art Academy in Oslo (2015-2018). She is currently a lecturer at Konstfack\u2019s CuratorLab. She has contributed to various newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and other publications. She is the 2009 recipient of the Walter Hopps Award for Curatorial Achievement. Her published books include \u201cSelected Maria Lind Writing\u201d (2010), \u201cSeven Years: The Rematerialization Art from 2011 to 2017\u201d (2019), \u201cKonstringar: Vad g\u00f6r samtidskonsten?\u201d (2021), \u201cTensta Museum: Reports from New Sweden\u201d (2021) and \u201cThe New Model\u201d (2020).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maria Lind is a curator, writer and educator from Stockholm.
