ICA Yerevan is pleased to invite you to the opening of the “Site Surveys” exhibition. Organized as part of Francophonie Month in Armenia, this showcase brings together the works of the graduates of the Arles National School of Photography (ENSP), one of the most prestigious institutions of higher artistic education in France.
Founded in 1982 in Arles, the ENSP is the only national art school in France entirely dedicated to photography. Over the three years of master’s studies, the School trains its students in the techniques, history, and theories of the image. The ENSP now rewards its best graduates (“Félicités”) with an annual exhibition. This year, ICA Yerevan is hosting the works of eight young artists who received the jury’s highest honors for their diplomas in 2025.
Entitled “Site Surveys,” the exhibition highlights the predominant interest of the graduates in sites, territories, and localities, whose characteristics and particularities they keenly explored. In French, an “état des lieux” (inventory of fixtures) is a document that provides a comparative inventory of the assets of a dwelling. Here, the title is understood from a physical perspective, examining the situation and conditions that define real or virtual spaces. It can also be understood from the political, cultural, and territorial perspective of the rules that govern these places, both visibly and invisibly.
ENSP’s “Félicités”:
