The Year of Armenia in France was an opportunity to take a cross-perspective look at a contemporary art scene closely linked to the reality of this country. Armenians and French: the artists, historians, philosophers, and critics gathered here speak to us about art and Armenia, history and geography, individuals and their society.
This publication was produced on the occasion of the exhibition “D’Arménie” presented at le Quartier, contemporary art center of Quimper (France), from January 27 to April 1, 2007. The DVD attached to this book documents the works of the exhibition created by Karen Andreassian, Grigor Khatchatryan, Arman Grigoryan, Mher Azatyan, Hamlet Hovsepyan, and Anna Barseghian & Stefan Kristensen.
